Mingyue Gorge

Checking in at Mingyue Gorge | It's a place you don't want to leave once you arrive, and it's another weekend heading to a new destination The target is Guangyuan Mingyue Gorge, to appreciate the beauty of ancient Shu shaped like a crescent moon. At night, passing through the gorge, the moon hangs over the western mountains, reflecting on the river. Originally named Chaotian Gorge, it was later renamed Mingyue Gorge. The approximately 4-kilometer-long Mingyue Gorge is known as the throat of the Shu Road and is the only passage connecting the north and south. The Jialing River breaks through the mountains to form a perilous terrain with steep cliffs and precipices. For thousands of years, people have carved out 6 different roads from ancient to modern times here, which is why this place is also known as the Museum of Chinese Transportation History.
