Coordinates: Xi'an, Sichuan trip with parents during National Day (Part 1)

Thanks to the high-speed rail, the Shu Road is not difficult. During the National Day holiday, we had the chance to cross the Qinling Mountains into Sichuan for a visit. The entire trip lasted 4 days, provided here for your reference. Considering that there would be more tourists during the holiday and that we were traveling with parents, the focus was on a leisurely trip. 1️⃣ Overall itinerary 10.5 Morning 🚄 Xi'an to Guanghan (about 3 hours), arrive in Guanghan at noon, check into the hotel and rest. 10.5 Afternoon Visit Sanxingdui 10.6 Morning 🚄 Sanxingdui Station to Songpan Station (about 2 hours), after getting off, contact the pre-booked taxi driver to go to the guesthouse (the guesthouse is near Huamei Shengdi, the whole way is mountain roads, about 2 hours by car) 10.6 Afternoon Arrive at the guesthouse around 4 pm, then visit Zhongcha Valley for about an hour. 10.7 All day Jiuzhaigou tour, depart from the guesthouse at 7:30 am, about 40 minutes drive. Thanks to Jiuzhaigou’s scheduling ability, even with many people, you can still find some comfortable spots. 10.8 Morning 🚄 Huanglong Jiuzhai to Chengdu East, parents stay in Chengdu for two more days, we fly directly from Chengdu back to Beijing. 2️⃣ Accommodation [Guanghan] The city is actually not big, divided by Yazi River into old and new districts. Sanxingdui is about 6-7 km away, taxis are very convenient. We stayed at Lavande Hotel Sanxingdui branch, overall experience four stars, located in the old city opposite the Luocheng Ruins, with shopping malls nearby. Life is quite convenient. In the evening, we took a walk and found the environment around Jinyan Lake by the river very nice. If we come again, we would probably choose a hotel by Jinyan Lake. [Jiuzhaigou] There are mainly three accommodation areas near Jiuzhaigou: the entrance, inside the valley, and Huamei Shengdi. The first two vary in quality and finding a good place is troublesome. Huamei Shengdi is remote but better organized, and the accommodation quality is more reassuring. The resort mainly has hotels, with some guesthouses around. Hotel prices surge during holidays; if your budget is under 1000 RMB, guesthouses are a better choice. We stayed two nights in Jiuzhaigou, booked at Tixin Guesthouse near Huamei Shengdi. There was a small incident on arrival day when the guesthouse had a power outage, but they responded quickly and booked us a room at the Hilton Garden Inn opposite. So we stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn and one night at the guesthouse. The Garden Inn was decent and comfortable, breakfast was average. The guesthouse had more Tibetan characteristics, and the smart home features amazed our parents. 3️⃣ Transportation Since we were traveling with parents, we used high-speed rail plus taxis. Guanghan is a small city, taxi fares are generally around 10-20 RMB. For Jiuzhaigou, the guesthouse provides shuttle service to and from the scenic spots, and taxis to and from the high-speed rail station were pre-booked at about 300 RMB.
