As we drove south out of the city, the population became increasingly sparse. If you are alone on the road, you will definitely feel a little lonely. Fortunately, it was sunny for 4 days with comfortable temperature. However, the sunrise and sunset views were not very satisfying and were not very impressive. Feeling a little disappointed. The first two days, we mainly spent time in Arches National Park. The park covers an area of ​​about 309 square kilometers and has more than 2,000 natural rock arches, among which Delicate Arch (Figure 6) is world-famous. It is composed of sandstone (entrada sandstone), which is eroded by wind and rain. Many natural arches collapse due to excessive wind erosion, but Delicate Arch is famous for withstanding long periods of wind erosion without collapsing. It is one of the most photographed arches in the park and is featured on the Utah state sign. During the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Olympic torch relay also passed through the arch.
