Volcano lava rock viewing platform in Spain

The Spanish translation is "Slaughter of Mares". This is a ravine in the southern part of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. This ravine was dug out of the lava flow of magma produced by volcanic eruptions and a road was built. At the top of Amurga in the south, the thickness of the magma is as high as 500 meters. These powerful flows correspond to the final phase of Gran Canaria's first volcanic cycle, discharged between 12 and 11 million years ago.
