Gosung Hwaamsa Temple, where a thousand years of history live and breathe

Hwaamsa Temple, founded in the reign of King Hyegong of Silla (769 AD), has a history of over a thousand years. Since its foundation, it has suffered five fires, with only the main building of the Sermon Hall remaining in its original form. However, it has become widely known since the 17th World Jamboree in 1991, and its size has expanded significantly.
