The breathtaking view right in front of you: Roy's Peak

There is a parking lot available, so you can park your car and start your hike from there. Since this is a full-day activity, I stayed overnight in the nearby town of Wanaka and started the hike early the next morning. The trail is closed during the winter season, so it's best to check the timing before you go. (I visited in September, and it was open at that time.) The trekking itself isn't too strenuous. You'll be more captivated by the stunning scenery along the way, so don't worry too much! Even if it gets a bit tough, the incredible views make it absolutely worth the effort.
