Fort Cornwallis

We encountered culture, cuisine, and history from many different places in the small area of George Town. Fort Cornwallis is a remnant of the area’s colonial British past - built over 230 years ago by the British East India Company and is the largest remaining fort in Malaysia. We visited after dark when it was quieter and cooler, but there are tours during the day. There are old cannons around the fort and also Malaysia’s second oldest lighthouse. #malaysia #georgetownpenang #unescoworldheritage
