Gaziantep is the largest city in southern Turkey. It is located at the junction of the Mediterranean region and Southeast Anatolia, bordering Syria. Most of its land is located in the northern part of Southeast Anatolia, and a small part is located in the eastern part of the Mediterranean region. Here are some recommended tourist attractions in Gaziantep, Turkey: History and Culture - Zeugma Mosaic Museum: One of the largest mosaic museums in the world, it opened in 2011. The exhibits come from the nearby Belkis-Zeuma archaeological site. There are many exquisite Roman mosaics, such as the "Gypsy Girl" mosaic, which is one of the museum's treasures.  - Gaziantep Archaeological Museum: The museum houses artifacts excavated in the surrounding area, including archaeological finds from places such as Zinciril and Karkamis, as well as exquisite Hittite-era stelae, where history buffs can learn about the long history of the region.  - Gaziantep Castle: Built in the Seljuk period in the 12th and 13th centuries, it is located on the top of Mount Telhav, occupying the site of a 6th century Byzantine fortress. It overlooks the old town of Gaziantep. The small museum in the castle showcases the history of the local people's resistance to the French invasion in 1920.  Architecture and Art - Kuturushi Mosque: Originally built in 1892 as an Armenian cathedral, the building's facade and interior are decorated with black and white stone strips, which is very unique. - Alauddin Mosque: A beautifully restored 15th century mosque featuring a Baroque mihrab (a niche indicating the direction of Mecca). - Hammam Museum: Dedicated to the history and culture of the Turkish bath, visitors can learn about the tradition and evolution of the Turkish bath. Urban leisure category - Gaziantep Grand Bazaar: Located in the old city, it has many metal processing, woodworking and other handicraft workshops, as well as spice shops, daily necessities shops and handicraft shops. It is a good place to buy local souvenirs. - Ataturk Cultural Park: A park in the city center, it is a popular spot for local families to have picnics and for young people to date.
