Coastal Breeze at Battle Rock

#summervacay Went to check out Battle Rock (a.k.a. Jeongamsan) in Donghae, and it was such a cool mix of mountain and sea. The hike itself is pretty chill, not too long or steep, so it’s perfect if you’re not trying to do a full-on workout. The trail winds through pine trees with occasional ocean peeks that just get better the higher you go. Once you get up to the rock, the view is awesome. You’ve got the East Sea on one side, mountains behind you, and that salty breeze just hits right. There’s some history here too, the spot’s named after a battle that went down ages ago, so it adds a little depth to the whole experience. It wasn’t crowded at all, which made the whole thing feel peaceful. Just me, the seagulls, and the sound of waves in the distance. Bring some water and maybe a coffee to sip at the top, total vibe. If you’re ever in Donghae, don’t skip this one. Simple hike, big rewards!
