Battle Rock: History, Views, and a Little Sweat

#summervacay Checked out Battle Rock in Donghae and wow, it’s got way more going on than I expected. You start off thinking it’s just a cool monument spot, but then boom, nature trail, stairs, views, and a whole lotta history packed into one place. The hike up isn’t super long, but it does get the heart rate up (those stairs sneak up on you). Along the way, there are signs about the battle that happened there, and it’s kinda wild to think you’re walking where actual history went down. Major respect. At the top, you get this awesome panoramic view—sea on one side, city on the other, and mountains in the back. It’s one of those “just stand there for a sec and take it all in” kind of spots. It’s not a full-day hike, but it’s the perfect quick adventure with a mix of chill nature, local history, and solid views. Battle Rock? 100% worth the climb.
