Daegwallyeong Observatory

While traveling towards Gangwon Province, I made a brief stop at Daegwallyeong Observatory, located right in the middle of the highway. Although it’s not structured like a rest area where you can park conveniently, it turned out to be a pretty good spot for a quiet break. From the observatory, you can enjoy the expansive view of Daegwallyeong’s mountain ranges, and on clear days, even catch a glimpse of the wind turbines, which add to the stunning scenery. It was quite a unique experience to take a moment to rest during a highway drive and be greeted by such open and refreshing nature. It’s an excellent point to clear your head and take a deep breath of Gangwon Province’s fresh air during your drive. 🚗🌄
