Aoraki / Mount Cook – “New Zealand’s Alpine Crown”

#holidayitinerary 📌 Location: South Island, New Zealand Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest peak in New Zealand, and hiking its base was one of my favorite experiences in the country. I did the Hooker Valley Track, a relatively easy walk that takes you over swing bridges, past ice-cold rivers, and ends with a glacier lake surrounded by jagged peaks. Mount Cook looms in the distance, its summit often wrapped in clouds. The air was so clean, and the landscape so cinematic, I stopped constantly to take photos. If you’re lucky, you’ll see icebergs floating on the lake. Ideal for hikers, photographers, and mountain dreamers.
