Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

Lake Tekapo in New Zealand is famous for its starry sky tours. Apparently 20% of the population is Japanese, and there are several Japanese restaurants. Tekapo has very clear air, a beautiful lake, and was a very pleasant place. On the starry sky tour, we could see shooting stars every 5 minutes, and we could also see the Southern Cross. They lend out jackets for the cold, and there are Japanese tours, so you can rest assured! We also had the valuable experience of being able to see the stars through a full-fledged telescope. After returning to the hotel, I tried taking pictures of the starry sky with my SLR camera, and I was very happy to be able to take a picture of the Milky Way.
