Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang

When visiting Fuzhou during the Lunar New Year, Sanfang Qixiang is a must-see attraction. Sanfang Qixiang is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Take Metro Line 1 to Dongjiekou. During the Lunar New Year, Fuzhou's metro and buses are free. Sanfang Qixiang is a historical and cultural landmark of Fuzhou, with a long history and rich cultural connotations. "Sanfang" refers to Yijin Lane, Wenru Lane, and Guanglu Lane; "Qixiang" refers to Yangqiao Lane, Langguan Lane, Ta Lane, Huang Lane, Anmin Lane, Gong Lane, and Jipi Lane. Many ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties are preserved here, and it was the residential area of local celebrities during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now, the old houses have been restored to their original appearance and transformed into cultural centers, small museums, and chambers of commerce. The houses are marked as immovable historical relics. The cultural and tourism decorations in the alleys are unique and not copied from other places. The entire scenic area must have taken a lot of financial resources and effort to create. Some houses are still being leased. The area is crowded with people, and there are local snacks nearby. I bought a cup of Xiaodiao pear, which was just pear and red dates soaked in water. The local specialty fish balls seemed to be made entirely of starch with a little meat inside, unlike Suzhou's fish balls, which are made of fish meat. There are also many travel photos in this area, including the iconic heart-shaped banyan tree, which I captured from the side.
