Stayed at 3 hotels in Wanda Resort, here’s my experience

For my Changbai Mountain trip, I stayed in Wanda Resort and stayed at three hotels inside: Momoland, The Westin, and Jinhua. Here’s my honest experience. Momoland (🅿1-6) 💰 Price: 600+ 🏠 Room type: Superior King Room 🥤 Complimentary drinks: No welcome fruit, no free drinks in the room 🚪 Room: The hotel opened in 2013, the room is generally quite old, the bed is very large, feels more than 2 meters wide. Not sure if it was because it rained those days, but the bedding felt damp. The room is overall average, the bathroom is a bit dark, not suitable for makeup 🏞 View: No balcony, the window faces the Holiday Inn Express 🍴 Breakfast: There are two restaurants, I went to the one on the first floor. The restaurant is not very big, the variety of food is limited, and the breakfast taste is average 🧺 Laundry room: There are 3 washing machines + 3 dryers, free to use 🛝 Kids’ play area: This hotel is more suitable for family stays. The lobby on the first floor is decorated in a Harry Potter style and has several game check-in points, but you need to book a family room to get a game card (a bit of a trap). There is also a cat house in one corner of the lobby with two Maine Coon cats inside, you can watch them through a door. No dedicated kids’ playground 📍 Location: A short walk from the hotel is the starting station of the resort’s small train. Behind Momoland parking, there is a large lawn with swings and climbing frames that kids like. At night, there are barbecue and other late-night snacks available (taste is average) The Westin (🅿7-12) 💰 Price: 1000+ 🏠 Room type: Deluxe King Room 🥤 Complimentary drinks: Welcome fruit provided, no free drinks in the room 🚪 Room: The hotel opened in 2012, the room is well maintained, the bedding is very comfortable, and the room has a large bathtub, definitely worth the booking price. Similarly, the bathroom is a bit dark, not suitable for makeup 🏞 View: Has a small balcony, from which you can see the cable car 🍴 Breakfast: The restaurant is large, with a very rich variety of breakfast items, including special dishes like ginseng hot spring eggs, ginseng noodles, sticky bean buns, etc. 🧺 Laundry room: No free laundry room 🛝 Kids’ play area: There is an indoor kids’ play area, very clean, with rocking horses, building blocks, slides, and a six-sided play structure, suitable for young children 📍 Location: A short walk to the main road of the small train, not much to do near the hotel, you need to take the small train Jinhua (🅿13-18) 💰 Price: 900+ 🏠 Room type: Superior King Room 🥤 Complimentary drinks: No welcome fruit, free drinks in the room 🚪 Room: The hotel opened in 2012, the room is well maintained, the bedding feels damp like Momoland, the room also has a large bathtub, but what’s with the showerhead above the bathtub? Crazy. The bathroom is quite bright, suitable for makeup 🏞 View: No balcony, the window faces the ski slope, the view is excellent 🍴 Breakfast: There are 2 restaurants. The first-floor restaurant is very crowded during meal times, like a market. I was assigned to eat in the second-floor executive lounge, where the breakfast variety is very limited and the taste is quite average 🧺 Laundry room: Need to walk to Jinhua Suites to use the laundry room 🛝 Kids’ play area: The hotel has a forest theater that regularly shows documentaries, plus 1 ping pong table and 2 billiard tables. No dedicated indoor kids’ playground. There is a swing on the lawn in front of the hotel 📍 Location: Best location, right outside is the resort town, very convenient for shopping and eating. Opposite is Waku Lake and Acorn Camp Overall evaluation: Price: The Westin > Jinhua > Momoland Room: The Westin > Jinhua > Momoland Breakfast: The Westin > Momoland = Jinhua Location: Jinhua > Momoland > The Westin ❗ Definitely do not try Jinhua’s lunch or dinner buffet unless it’s complimentary from the hotel ❗ None of the three hotels provide bed rails, children’s toilet seats, or wash stools (The Westin rooms come with a wash stool)
