⛩️Tochoji Temple is widely known for the Great Buddha of Fukuoka. The wooden seated Buddha statue, about 16.1 meters high, is the largest Buddha in Japan. ⛩️You can enter the bottom of the Buddha statue to see the murals of hell. The most impressive part is the last section of the tunnel. There is no light inside and you can only move forward by touching the handrails on the wall. This is a chance for you to think quietly. In fact, you will not dare to move forward easily at the beginning because of the unknown ahead. Although you are not afraid of the darkness, you will still be cautious. After a few seconds, you will change your mind, feel open-minded, and be fearless. So you will stride forward. Soon you will see the light, and your mind will be suddenly enlightened. ⛩️In addition, the Thousand-Armed Guanyin Bodhisattva treasured in the temple is carved from a Podocarpus macrophylla.
