Malta International Contemporary Art Space (MICAS), located on the site of the 17th-century Ospizio fortress in Floriana, not only features international artworks but also hosts dedicated exhibitions showcasing Maltese contemporary art. It aims to promote Maltese art on the global stage and highlight the position of local art within the international art context. MICAS prioritizes inviting niche Maltese artists and non-mainstream creators from the Mediterranean region, providing a platform for underrepresented local and Mediterranean creators.
