Esposende - a hidden gem of sunny Portugal

Esposende is a small seaside town about 30 north of Porto. the air smells like sea, and the wind is refreshing here. The town has a small population of 35000 people making it a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Porto. You can take a very budget friendly bus ride to come here. The ride runs you less than 10€ and lasts about 1 hour. Or you can call and Uber or a Bolt ride. From the Porto Airport to the centre of Esposende, it cost approximately 35€. For places to stay, there is a wide range from small b&bs to nicer pricier hotels. it's all up to you! if you are looking for some good food, I suggest Barzin for a great beach side atmosphere. They're not open often so check their schedule ahead of time! I also suggest Barbe Azul which is a fresh seafood restaurant inside of the bus station. Incredible food with good wine and homemade desserts to die for. #portugal

Ilha de Tavira Faro Portugal

If you're staying in Faro, definitely take a day trip to Tavira. We went and absolutely loved it. The town is really pretty and calm, with cute little streets, a nice river, and great views from the old castle. But the best part was taking the boat to Tavira Island. #Ilha de Tavira It's such an easy trip to do. The boat ride is peaceful, runs often, and only costs around €2.50 for a return ticket. You don’t need to stress about timing at all. The island is beautiful. Proper golden sand, clear water, and not overcrowded. It’s perfect for swimming or just relaxing. We honestly didn’t want to leave. If you’re in Faro, don’t skip this one. #Portugal #travel #daytrip
