Ehime｜Turning on the tap to enjoy citrus juice, a novel and creative local creation

Turn on the tap and there will be an endless supply of juice to drink. It sounds like a fairy tale, but it actually happens in Matsuyama, Ehime. The place with the most citrus varieties in Japan is Ehime, Shikoku, with more than 40 varieties, and they are still constantly mating and innovating. In recent years, oranges such as Shiranui, Satsuma, and Iyokan have begun to be sold around the world. You might think that all citrus fruits taste the same, until I walked into this store and saw that they had five famous citrus juices, and you could choose any three for only 770 yen. Just turn on the tap and you can install it. First of all, there are obvious differences in color and aroma. Until the moment you take a sip, you can clearly feel the sharp sourness, mild sweetness and the aftertaste of sweetness. I chose the Minamizumi recommended by the store, the Shiranui which has been very popular in recent years, and the Kiyomi which has a very transcendent name. Nanjinhai has sufficient sweetness, restrained sourness, and rich fruity aroma; Shiranui has a unique aroma and acidity; and Kiyomi is a Wenzhou mandarin orange, which is a cross between the Troveta orange and the sweet orange, with a balanced sweet and sour taste. The store also put up a "family tree" on the wall so that you can trace the origins when tasting. The store also sells Ehime's famous Imabari towels and other specialty products. Interestingly, there are also single-item tap citrus juices on Songshan Street.
