Three world-class historical figures visit Edinburgh City Hall

#OverseasTravel #BritishTravel #Check-inLandmarks Walking along the #RoyalMile you really need to slow down 👣 to appreciate the numerous #attractions and learn about the extraordinary #historical stories of each of them. One of the famous #tourist attractions is the #EdinburghCityHall, which is located opposite the #StGilsCathedral. The Edinburgh City Chambers is the office of the Edinburgh City Council, the capital of Scotland. Formerly known as the "Royal Exchange", it opened in 1760 and was used as a trading place. It is one of the very important #historical landmarks of the Royal Mile. It is a magnificent classical building 🏛️, built around three sides of the square. Even if you pass by here, you will be attracted by its 7 arched colonnades on the front. There are also three world-class historical figures welcoming visitors together 👋👋 Let's get to know these #popularattractions! After passing through the arcade, I was greeted by the interesting statue of Alexander & Bucephalus commemorating Alexander the Great and his horse Bucephalus. Bucephalus is one of the most famous horses in world history and a difficult horse to tame, but was eventually tamed by Alexander, who rode it until his death in the Battle of the Hydaspes in 326 BC. 🥺🥺 Inside this #historicalbuilding you’ll find a charming golden bronze statue sitting on a bench in the opposite corner of the courtyard. This gentleman turned out to be the famous Polish Highlander General Stanislaw Maczek. I was honored to sit next to him for a break, admire his heroic exploits in Europe and his great contributions throughout his life, and of course take a #photo with him as a souvenir! 📸 Finally, I unknowingly walked to another #photo hotspot, J.K. Rowling Hands 🙌 Rowling's golden handprint. In this flagstone courtyard you will find a square golden handprint. The Edinburgh Prize winner's mark, in bronze. A picture of Harry Potter author JK Rowling is printed on the first slate on the left. Visited this place without realising I had been in for a mini Harry Potter treat! 😅😅 #tourism #travel #must-go #visit #photography spot #famous attraction #must-visit check-in spot #photography holy place #check-in hotspot #popular check-in spot #popular check-in spot #check-in landmark #check-in photo new Pu point #consumption voucher strategy
