St Giles' Cathedral

#edinburghtrips As a tourist, St Giles' Cathedral left a deep impression on me. Stepping into this ancient church in the heart of Edinburgh, the first thing that caught my eye was its magnificent Gothic architecture and towering spire, almost as if it transported me back to the medieval era. The stained-glass windows inside, bathed in sunlight, cast vibrant colors across the space, creating a serene and sacred atmosphere. The carvings on the walls and the intricate details, especially around the altar, gave a sense of grandeur.

St Giles' Cathedral

#edinburghtrips This place is a natural beauty steeped in history and the architecture is truly outstanding, I was fortunate enough to visit on Wednesday and Friday which was a complete joy. i sat in quiet reflection and altho busy due to the ongoing fringe festival it was still truly magical.i hope the photos do it justice but you really have to see it in person how it was made and remade, about it's architecture and importance. There is a small souvenir shop inside, which surprisingly sells items at lower cost than the shops outside on the street. A must visit place in Edinburgh. #stgiles

#edinburghtrips 🏰✨ Edinburgh: where history whispers and adventures taste sweet 🍰🌿 We began our day wandering through Princes Street Gardens, a quiet green escape in the heart of the city, before following the peaceful Water of Leith trail—a little pause where the sound of the river feels like music. From there, the charm grew stronger: the curved fairytale lanes of West Bow Street called us in, every corner looking like a painting 🎨. By lunchtime, we landed on the Royal Mile. And let me tell you: the pasta there? Maman, I’m coming! 🍝😂 Add to that a slice of carrot cake so perfectly mastered that you’ll forget every other dessert you’ve ever had. In the afternoon, we stepped into the Elysian Museum, a mind-bending maze that plays with your senses and makes you lose track of reality 🌀. Then, on the way up to Edinburgh Castle, we stopped by St. Giles’ Cathedral. From there, the view opens wide over the whole city—its rooftops, its stories, and its sleeping volcano. And if you’re chasing something unforgettable, hike all the way up to Arthur’s Seat. The climb is worth every step: standing above Edinburgh, with the wind in your hair and the city at your feet, feels like owning a piece of the world 🌍💨. Edinburgh isn’t just a city—it’s a journey between myths, flavors, and skies. ✨ #Edinburgh #ScotlandDiaries #ArthurSeat #RoyalMile #PrincesStreetGardens #WestBowStreet #CarrotCakeLove #ElysianMuseum #StGilesCathedral #EdinburghCastle #TravelWithLove #CoupleDiaries #FaithAndTravel
