Edinburgh Castle is located in the heart of the city and can be viewed from most areas. It is very easy to access and I would recommend to book tickets online before going as the time slots can sell out. They have audio guides available for people that do not speak English making it easy to enjoy the attraction. The castle has lots of information about its formation, the different battles that have taken place for the castle and how previous Queens and Kings have used the castle over the years. The castle itself dates back many centuries and there is a lot of information about the different buildings in there including what it was used for. There are shops and toilets inside as well as a whisky specialist shop.
