Apart from the fairy-tale cottages in Hobbiton, the Cook Mountains National Park, Queenstown, the West Coast Highway, the Road to Paradise, Lake Wanaka, Glenorchy, Arrowtown, Dunedin Railway Station, Lake Wakatipu, Lake Tekapo, Lake Hawea, Fox Glacier, Milford Sound and other exciting tourist attractions, New Zealand is also a paradise for outdoor sports. Whether it's the lakes of the South Island or the volcanoes of the North Island, they can give you a different experience. In short, there are too many expectations for New Zealand. Compared to the North Island, we prefer self-driving tours on the South Island, so we have arranged most of our travel time for this trip on a self-driving tour around the South Island. We started from Christchurch and went counterclockwise to Fox Glacier, then to Wanaka, Queenstown, Dunedin, and finally to Mount Cook National Park. After that, we returned to Christchurch via Tekapo and went on a self-driving tour of the North Island. TIPS: 1.
