Weekend in Dublin, Ireland – History, Fun and a Touch of Magic

#hellohalloween Our weekend in Dublin was the perfect mix of history, family fun and Irish charm. We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel — a great base for walking everywhere — and started with wandering to Hard Rock Café to fill our tummies after out flight. Then we wandered the nearby streets - checking out the LEGO store and then on to St. Strphens Green. It was a wonderfully sunny Friday in Dublin and a great time to explore the park, play at the playground and then wander over to the hotel. We started Saturday late due to the weather, and then with a visit to Christ Church Museum, which has secret underground crypts! Then, to the Viking Museum (Dublinia), which was a huge hit with the kids. We did try to go to Dublin Castle. The queue for the inside tour was long, so we explored the grounds instead — still beautiful and full of history. We loved the nearby gardens (Dubh Linn Gardens) and took a peek inside Chester Beatty. We finished our weekend at the World of Illusions, which was a brilliant surprise — interactive, funny, and great for all ages. We couldn't go home without visiting Molly Malone! Dublin is such an easy city to explore on foot, full of warmth, humour and hidden gems around every corner. Two days flew by, but it’s one of those places that makes you want to come back for more. #dublin #dublincastle
