Dexing is the city with the richest mineral resources in Jiangxi, with approximately 50 mines preserved from ancient times to the present. The Mining and Metallurgy Museum houses five treasures: ➡️ 'Anjing Pavilion' Stele Records the prosperous life in Dexing during the Song Dynasty, where gold and silver were abundant, and there were no droughts or floods. ➡️ Zhang Qian's Epitaph Details Zhang Qian's life and his contributions to copper smelting in China (he wrote the book 'Essentials of Copper Smelting' and presented it to the emperor). ➡️ Gilded Four-Fish Pattern Basin from the Yuan Dynasty Entirely handmade, without leaving a single dent. ➡️ Jade Pendant from the Song Dynasty Buried underground for 1800 years to form a protective film. The tomb owner cherished it greatly, carving patterns and wearing it on the waist. ➡️ Gilded Vase from the Yuan Dynasty Multi-layer gilding, the technique has been lost, making it priceless. ㊙️ There is also a Ming Dynasty Yongle Imperial Edict, another treasure. It is an edict from Emperor Zhu Di of the Ming Dynasty, conferring the title of lady to Xia Yuanji's grandmother. Xia Yuanji was a famous hydraulic expert in the early Ming Dynasty, serving as the Minister of Revenue. When his grandmother passed away, he was fighting floods in Shanghai and should have observed a three-year mourning period, but he did not return home due to his concern for the disaster victims.
