When I first walked into The Siren Hotel, an Ash Hotel, located in the heart of Detroit, I felt like I had entered a whole new world. The hotel is located in the historic Wurlitzer Building, which is itself a work of art that tells stories of the past. Since 1926, the building has witnessed the rise and fall of Detroit, and now it shines with a new look. The design of the lobby made me feel different instantly. Antique furniture and decorations from the 18th and 19th centuries, carefully collected by ASH NYC from Europe, can be seen everywhere, along with the plaster details and terracotta signs on the ceiling of the historic building. Every step is on the depth of history and the richness of culture. I was deeply attracted by this atmosphere of modern and retro intertwining, as if time had frozen at this moment, and history and the present were perfectly integrated. My room was on the fifth floor, and as soon as I opened the door, a warm atmosphere came over me. The interior design of the room is simple yet stylish, with Cranbrook Academy of Art-designed woven blankets and custom Italian sheets complementing each other, and every detail silently tells its own story. At night, when I lay in bed, the tranquility and comfort of the surroundings instantly relaxed me, and the fatigue of the journey dissipated. Every corner of the hotel reveals the ingenuity of the designer, from the custom vintage furniture to the carefully selected decorations, every item seems to have a story, so meaningful. Especially the rare vintage furniture collected from global markets and stores in the duplex rooms on the top floor of the hotel, made me feel an indescribable luxury and uniqueness. The Siren Hotel is not just a place to stay, it is an experience, a deep tribute to the history and culture of Detroit. During my stay here, I felt like I had a deep conversation with the past and future of the city. Every day, whether enjoying sweet time at the hotel's Candy Bar or feeling the unique comfort at Populace Coffee, I could deeply feel the enthusiasm and sincerity conveyed by The Siren Hotel. This stay made me have a deeper understanding and affection for the city of Detroit.
