After a tiring journey and possible altitude sickness for the kids, it’s recommended to rest at the hotel on the first day, take photos with the kids, and enjoy afternoon tea. (Parent-child guide available in previous posts on the homepage) day2️⃣: ✅ Divine Waterfall Trail parent-child hike It’s recommended to get up early and watch the sunrise on the hotel grounds with the kids. After breakfast, head to the Divine Waterfall. This trail is the easiest hiking route, very suitable for kids, with a stone slab path throughout that is very safe and doesn’t require a guide. (Specific parent-child guide available in previous posts) day3️⃣: The kids might be tired from hiking the day before, so the third day focuses on relaxed parent-child activities, sleep in naturally ✅ Little forest exploration Right at the foot of the Divine Waterfall Trail, there are towering spruce trees, moss, and small streams. It’s like a real-life Wizard of Oz, perfect for taking photos with kids, and you might even encounter little squirrels and cows, which excites the kids a lot. ✅ Mountain coffee break A very cozy coffee shop, their highland barley coffee is very special. Highly recommend their handmade bread, the kids love it! ✅ If the kids aren’t asleep at night, you can stargaze; the snowy mountains under the starry sky are stunning 🔖 Parent-child tips: ❶ Yubeng’s facilities are better than expected, with dining and small shops available, so you don’t need to carry a lot of supplies into the mountains with the kids ❷ Although Yubeng’s altitude isn’t very high, Shangri-La’s altitude is higher. If worried about kids’ altitude sickness, you can give them oral altitude sickness prevention liquid suitable for children in advance. This time, the kids took it for a week before the trip, and the symptoms were much milder ❸ Don’t just bring kids’ windbreakers; if you like taking photos, bring more parent-child outfits.
