Fukuoka Cafe | Old-school and classic Rankan Cafe☕

My dears, when you go to Fukuoka, don’t miss this old tea shop, Rankan! It is not in the center of Fukuoka, but close to Tenmangu Shrine in Dazaifu. It is a great place to check in when visiting here. The owner, Terujun Tahara, is amazing. He was once ranked third in the World Cup. The store has so many varieties of coffee beans that it's hard to make a choice! There were five of us in our group, and we didn’t bother to delve into it, so we just ordered the original special combination in the first photo. Mr. Tian Yuan was quiet and focused when brewing coffee. Another old lady clerk was elegant and calm. She entertained customers and served sandwiches. The pace was very comfortable and made people very envious. The interior of the store is very retro, with coffee cups, posters and lights, full of Showa atmosphere. I thought the dark roasted coffee would be mellow and rich, but it turned out to be bland. But since it was lunch that day, I didn’t think it was that important.
