Chiaksa Steep, Sweaty, and So Worth It

#summervacay Just got back from hiking at Chiaksan and whoa... that trail does not mess around. It’s steep almost the entire way up, with tons of stairs, rocky sections, and a couple of ropes to help you climb, definitely a leg day kind of hike. But honestly? Totally worth the effort. The forest is super dense and shady, which helps a lot on hot days. And the sounds of the stream along part of the trail are super calming. But the real star? That view at the top. Once you finally hit Birobong, it’s like being on top of the world, windy, wide-open skies, and mountain layers as far as you can see. There’s a cool sign at the summit for your “I survived Chiaksan” photo too 😂. Bring lots of water, snacks, and maybe a hiking buddy, it’s not the easiest trail, but super satisfying once you’re up there. Birobong will definitely humble you, but in the best way possible!
