Staying at the South Entrance of Shuanglang makes you not want to leave! Open the window to a full view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake

After trying many guesthouses in Shuanglang, I finally understood the true meaning of "opening the window to see the scenery" when I stayed at this one near the South Entrance of the ancient town. No need to squeeze into popular check-in spots; just lounge on the rattan chair in the room and look up to see the entire panorama of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. In the early morning, the thin mist over the lake wakes you up, sunlight dyes the outline of Cangshan Mountain with golden edges, and even the breeze carries the moist scent of Erhai; in the evening, watch the sunset turn the water into scattered gold, with fishing boats slowly passing in the distance—every photo you take with your phone looks like wallpaper. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the main street of the ancient town for food and shopping, yet you avoid the noise of the core area. Sitting by the window at night listening to the sound of the waves, even time seems to slow down—this is what a vacation in Dali should be like.
