Every morning, I am gently awakened by the wind from Erhai. Opening the window, the clouds over Cangshan Mountains drift slowly across Erhai, casting moving shadows on the water’s surface. Amid the shimmering waves, my reflection seems to be shattered and pieced back together; the unreal beauty of that moment always leaves me dazed upon waking—I really am here.
