Dali Shuanglang Hidden Gem! A Niche Daisy Sea + Prime Seaside View, Much More Comfortable Than Popular Spots

This trip to Shuanglang, I originally aimed for the baby-style Hushan Yunyin Flower Sea, but after several days of exclusive bookings, I was disappointed. Then I discovered next to the Guanhai Fanjian Inn where I stayed, a hidden daisy sea that no one knows about — the biggest surprise of this stay. I stayed 4 nights, from the morning calls of seagulls to the evening glow, every detail felt so comfortable~ 🌼 The "Niche Daisy Sea" Next to the Inn: An Unexpected Find During the Stay Location: Right next to Guanhai Fanjian Inn, just a 5-minute walk to Hushan Yunyin, no need to squeeze with crowds at popular spots Photo Experience: Went over after having coffee at the inn around noon, completely empty! Sunshine on the little daisies, with Erhai Lake behind, no need to dodge passersby while shooting, even breathing felt free. No reservation or fee required, you can shoot as long as you want. Compared to the rush at popular spots, taking photos here feels more like enjoying the moment. Standing at the edge of the flower sea, you can see panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. Any photo taken with a phone looks great. Later, when reviewing photos, I found many were “accidental masterpieces” taken here. 🏨 The 4-Night Stay at "Guanhai Fanjian Inn": Details So Comfortable You Don’t Want to Leave (This was my second stay, and this time I felt even more confident in my choice, many small details left a deeper impression than the first time) 📍 Address: No. 246-1, Group 1, Dajianpang Village, Shuanglang, Dali Real Feel of the Stay: ✅ Relaxation right at Erhai Lake: I didn’t book a sea view room, but the first-floor terrace is right next to Erhai Lake. Sitting in the yard in the morning, feeling the sea breeze, you can hear the next-door inn feeding seagulls. Occasionally, seagulls fly by — more healing than deliberately going to a scenic spot. ✅ No hassle for photos: The inn has a sky mirror and cloud ladder. If you don’t know how to shoot, the staff will proactively help find angles — once I saw a staff member adjusting a guest’s pose, and the results were much better than random shots. The 10 a.m. sunlight is the softest; afternoon light tends to dim, and the staff kindly reminded me of this. ✅ Warm little perks: Free dresses to borrow, so no need to bring a bunch of photo outfits, saving a lot of trouble. The breakfast rice noodles are delicious, with sauces made by the inn. I mentioned wanting coffee, and for two days they brought freshly ground American coffee — not a formal service, but very warm. On the day I left, the owner gave me a gift, and the two Teddy dogs “Le Bao” at the door followed me out. This kind of unpretentious warmth is more touching than standardized service. ✅ Convenient transportation without hassle: 5-minute walk to Shuanglang Ancient Town, very convenient for night market and snacks; 10 minutes to the market for buying fruits and local trinkets. The inn cooperates with drivers; if you want to visit Butterfly Spring, Chongsheng Temple, etc., just tell the driver in advance. He plans the route without detours or rushing, much easier than finding a car yourself. You can rent bicycles and electric scooters nearby. On the last day, I rented an electric scooter to circle Erhai Lake, stopping to enjoy the scenery whenever tired — this pace is especially comfortable. 📍 The "4-Day Itinerary" During the Stay: Follow a Comfortable Rhythm Day 1: Arrived at the inn at noon, checked in, wandered in the yard, discovered the flower sea next door in the afternoon and took photos for a long time, then visited the ancient town market at dusk and ate Grandma’s grilled milk fan. Day 2: Hired the inn’s driver for a private car, visited Butterfly Spring, Chongsheng Temple, Yan Family Courtyard, and Dali Ancient City. The driver knew less crowded spots, so the trip was relaxed. Returned to the inn just in time for sunset. Day 3: Walked to the pier to take a boat to Nanzhao Style Island and Yuji Island. The islands have many artsy shops. When tired, just sat by the sea daydreaming. Returned to the inn in the evening to watch the sunset glow. Day 4: Rented an electric scooter to circle Erhai Lake, packed and left at noon. Took sunrise photos before 8 a.m., with sunlight shining on Erhai Lake — a lovely little ending to the trip. 🍜 "Shuanglang Food" Tried During the Stay: A Few Delicious Picks Mushroom Hotpot: Ate in the ancient town, the broth was fresh, two of us ate until full. The most memorable proper meal during the stay. Lao Li’s Copper Ladle Beef: Dinner spot, beef was tender, dipping sauce fragrant. No need to search hard, just follow navigation. Grandma’s Grilled Milk Fan: A small stall in the ancient town, the rose-flavored one is more special than the original. Bought one at the night market and enjoyed it while strolling — very pleasant. Inn’s Breakfast Rice Noodles: The most anticipated breakfast every day. You can have seconds, and after 4 days, I never got tired of it. 💡 "Tips" from the Stay: Suggestions Based on Real Experience Shuanglang has small bugs and mosquitoes at night, remember to bring mosquito repellent. The inn provides some, but it’s more comfortable to bring your own. Yang Liping’s Sun Palace: Free admission with advance reservation. Without reservation, you can enter by buying afternoon tea. The view of Erhai Lake from inside is nice, but if you’re short on time, the inn’s sunset is also beautiful. Don’t come back too late from Lixiangbang; there are more water mosquitoes at dusk. Better to return to the inn early and watch the sunset on the terrace — much more comfortable than wandering outside. The biggest feeling from staying at Guanhai Fanjian this time was “relaxation” — no need to chase popular spots, taking photos in the flower sea next to the inn, waiting for sunrise in the yard, chatting with the owner at night. This unhurried pace is what a vacation should be. If you want a comfortable place to stay in Shuanglang where you can easily take great photos, maybe this place will move you just like it moved me~
