I highly recommend this amazing guesthouse near the ancient city!

After staying at 8 guesthouses in Dali, I finally found my ideal "home away from home"! Great location Turn right and walk for 3 minutes to reach the South Gate of the ancient city. Turn left and walk for 10 minutes to reach the South Gate Market, a favorite of locals. After visiting the ancient city and eating rice noodles, I strolled back to the courtyard and saw the sunset over Cangshan Mountain dye the Bai-style eaves gold. Who can resist such a wonderful experience? Beautiful courtyard I was amazed when I walked through the bluestone screen wall. The 2,000-square-meter garden is full of camellias and succulents. The Su-style windows frame the snow-capped Cangshan Mountain, and the Bai-style wooden beams and columns hide a Japanese rock garden! I looked forward to making a pot of Pu'er tea every day, sitting on the beauty couch in the corridor, watching the clouds, and listening to the wind. It cured my phone addiction. Cultural rooms We stayed in the "Jianchuan" themed room, which was amazing! The tie-dye door curtain, marble coffee table, Jianchuan woodcarving, and even the tissue box are all decorated with horse patterns. I must praise the magical bed. It was like sleeping on a cloud, but my back was fully supported. The latex pillows are different heights for men and women! I couldn't help but take the linen slippers and carved wooden comb with me when I checked out (the housekeeper said with a smile that they were gifts for guests). Warm service Every afternoon, a handwritten weather card and seasonal fruit were hung on the doorknob. One day, I casually mentioned that I wanted to eat pea flour, and it appeared at breakfast the next day! The receptionist remembered the names of all the guests, and the Cangshan Mountain hiking route he recommended was ten times more reliable than the popular guides. When I checked out, I received a Dongba script bookmark customized with our photos. I was amazed by the attention to detail! I didn't want to leave after staying for three days! It was more like a friend's house in Dali than a hotel. Every corner reflects the owner's aesthetic. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the courtyard is so beautiful that I didn't want to leave (laughs). I'm planning to bring my parents back in the fall!
