Dali Cangshan Jizhao Nunnery: Flowers and vegetarian food, both are great!

I miss the flowers and plants at Jizhao Nunnery, so I always choose a sunny day to hike up the mountain to the temple and see the flowers and plants there. The time I miss is always long and melancholy. At the beginning of 2025, I went to Jizhao Nunnery again. On the way up from the parking lot, I saw the camellias on the roadside were already in full bloom. The forest fire inspection point at the lower station of the Gantong Cableway is still there, but the "toll station" that used to be there has disappeared. The open space between the parking lot and the lower station of the Gantong Cableway is under construction again, and I don't know what they are going to build. Passing by Gantong Temple, I went in to see the flowers and plants. I found that the ancient camellias here were not yet in full bloom, but an ancient magnolia tree in front of the main hall was in full bloom, looking very spectacular and beautiful. 🍲 I continued to climb the mountain and soon arrived at Jizhao Nunnery. On weekdays, Jizhao Nunnery is still a bit deserted, and there seem to be fewer tourists than before. At lunchtime, I bought a meal ticket for 20 yuan, queued up for food, and then chose a quiet corner to slowly enjoy this unique vegetarian meal. The rice was just okay, and the other side dishes had their own flavors. Maybe it was because I was tired from walking and climbing, but I finished a big bowl of rice. Or maybe it was because I liked the light food, I had to get a little more to fill my stomach. I walked around the temple and found that the coffee shop was still as clean and tidy as before. Behind the kitchen, a handmade craft workshop was opened, with all kinds of handmade products, but the prices were not cheap. Compared to these, I still prefer to see the flowers and plants. 📸 I took my camera and recorded the most beautiful moments of the succulents I liked. Time flies, the flowers and plants here grow one after another, and the tourists who come to see the flowers change one after another, but the only thing that remains unchanged is me, who always brings happiness.
