The entire stone archway is built with local bluestone from Dali, and the three characters 'Butterfly Spring' in the middle were personally inscribed by the contemporary literary giant Guo Moruo. The eaves corners of the stone archway are carved with four small animals, which are one of the totems worshiped by the Dali Bai people, called 'Wa Cat'. Butterfly Spring Park was completed in January 2004, covering an area of more than 820 square meters. It is a greenhouse built to simulate the living habits of butterflies in nature. In the Butterfly World, scientists use advanced technology to artificially cultivate various types of butterflies.
