A day in Dali City

A trip to Dali City could not be complete without a visit to Dali Ancient City and the Three Pagodas of Chong Sheng Temple. First we headed into the Ancient City of Dali. A fantastic place to walk through with a wide variety of interesting shops. You can buy everything from tea, local art, clothing, and food. I tried some small spicy scorpions which were nice and crunchy. After leaving the old city you can take a walk for around 2km straight to the Three Pagodas. A nice easy walk with plenty of small local restaurants along the way. The Three Pagodas look remarkably beautiful. The area is great to walk around, it take around an hour to go around. It is very quiet which makes for a perfect setting to view the Pagodas. #dali #daliancientcity #threepagodas #yunnan #yunnantravel
