This ancient pass located in Dai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is known as the "No. 1 Pass in China" and can be regarded as one of the treasures in the history of ancient Chinese military architecture. Here, the majesty of the Great Wall and the historical stories of ancient China's frontier culture are intertwined, making people feel as if they are in a world of war thousands of years ago. 🚪Stepping into the scenic area, the Mingyue Tower standing at the north entrance of the city wall greets us, as if time has gone back to ancient times. Passing through the three-arch doorway, the bluestone road winds and twists, with shops lining both sides, making people feel like traveling through a time tunnel, with a strong Shanxi style permeating the place. You can see shops selling local specialties, such as Shanxi aged vinegar, Daizhou rice wine, etc., and experience the local customs and culture firsthand. 🏰Walking through that quaint street, we arrived at the gate of the city wall, which is the north gate of Yanmen Pass. The buildings here are made of blue bricks and gray tiles, simple and exquisite, exuding a strong historical atmosphere. Go further up, pass through Dili Gate, climb up Ningbian Tower, and look around. The winding Great Wall stretches between the mountains, and military facilities such as forts and beacon towers stand tall. It is truly spectacular. 🏞️Being at Yanmen Pass, it was as if I was traveling back in time. I looked at the Great Wall that rose and fell like a mountain range, guarded by ancient artillery batteries. The history here is like smoke and clouds, which makes me deeply feel the powerful charm of ancient Chinese war culture. In this ancient military town, we seem to be having a conversation with history and feeling the unique charm of this land. Yanmen Pass is a guardian with rich historical memories, and every brick is woven with stories of ancient Chinese wars. Our exploration of it has given us a deeper understanding of ancient China's military wisdom and cultural heritage.
