It refers to all activities including the creation, processing, storage, and transmission of information, and is implemented in various forms such as the Internet, email, and mobile communication. Information and communication technology is integrated into various areas of life, and has recently been further developed through innovative technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and cloud computing. Korea has made continuous efforts to become independent and develop space science and technology, and as a result, it successfully launched Naro, Korea's first space launch vehicle, and Nuri, which was developed entirely domestically. Satellites sent into space through these space launch vehicles play an important role in Earth observation and weather forecasting. In addition, Korea is strengthening international cooperation in space science research and technology development by participating in international space exploration projects, and through this, it is developing relationships with the global space community and accumulating knowledge and experience. Since the Three Kingdoms period, when the nation was established and farming became an important industry, interest in weather such as rain, wind, and clouds increased. In particular, Joseon was a country based on the idea of ​​'heaven's mandate', which states that heaven grants the king the right to rule, and the king's first duty was to rule the country according to the will of heaven. Therefore, the Joseon Dynasty devoted itself to research on weather, surveying, and farming methods to develop agriculture, which is the foundation of the national economy, and developed farming technologies suited to our climate and invented various observation instruments. Clocks, one of the important inventions that have developed along with human history, are tools that measure and display time. In the past, time was mainly measured using sundials and water clocks. Among these, sundials could only be used during the day because they measured time by determining the position of the sun through the shadow of the sun, while water clocks measured time by the increase or decrease of water and could operate 24 hours a day. Korea developed the technology to produce paper, ink, etc. needed for printing early on. In the mid-8th century, the oldest existing woodblock print, 『Mugujeonggwangdaedaranigyeong』, was printed, and in 1377, 『Jikjisimcheyojeol』 was printed for the first time in the world using metal type. This development in printing technology contributed greatly to the development of national culture by publishing various types of books. Hangul is Korea's unique alphabet. Before Hangul was created, there were no letters to translate our language, so we borrowed Chinese characters from China. However, since the spoken and written language were different and difficult to learn, communication was difficult. To solve this problem, King Sejong created our own writing system, Hunminjeongeum, in 1443. At first, it consisted of 28 letters, including 17 consonants modeled after the shapes of the sound-producing organs of the human body (lips, nasal passages, mouth, throat) and 11 vowels modeled after the shapes of the sky, the earth, and people.
