#summerspritz I still remember the moment vividly. Wandering aimlessly along the narrow streets of Hoi An, I stumbled upon a quaint little restaurant nestled between ancient buildings and colorful lanterns hanging overhead. Its sign read simply: "Lady Buddha." Curiosity piqued, I stepped inside. The interior was dimly lit, decorated with intricate wooden carvings and soft cushions scattered around low tables. Soft music played in the background, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and peace. As I settled down onto one of the plush pillows, a waitress approached with a gentle smile. She handed me a menu written in Vietnamese script, which I couldn't decipher. But then she pointed out several items, explaining them in broken English. Intrigued, I ordered something called "Com Tam," described as shattered rice with barbecue pork and egg. When it arrived, I was captivated. The aroma wafted up, enticing me closer. Each bite revealed layers of flavor—savory, sweet, tangy, and smoky all at once. It wasn't just good; it was transcendent. Over the course of my visit, I tried other dishes too—the spring rolls wrapped in lotus leaves, the steamed fish glistening with soy sauce, and the silky smooth green tea. Every meal felt like a revelation, transporting me deeper into Vietnam's culinary heritage. Before leaving, I asked the owner what inspired her to create such a remarkable establishment. She told me about her grandmother's kitchen, where she learned the secrets of Vietnamese cooking. Her goal was simple: to recreate those childhood memories for others. Now whenever someone asks me about my favorite restaurant in Hoi An, there's no hesitation. I always say, "Lady Buddha." Because sometimes, the best things in life aren't planned; they're discovered accidentally, becoming beloved treasures along the way. #deliciousfood #hoian #vietnam #buddhalife #travelinspiration
