First stop in Da Nang: Linh Ứng Pagoda

Visit the large statue of Guan Yin. It's not far from the city center. Linh Ứng Pagoda is located on Son Tra Island, north of Da Nang. It is the largest pagoda in the area. The white statue of Guan Yin stands with its back to the mountains and faces the sea to protect the fishermen. The sound of the temple bells harmonizing with the waves helps the sailors feel at peace and boosts their morale. The atmosphere inside the pagoda is shaded by large trees, providing some relief from the midday heat. Around the area, there are various shrines with statues of deities according to local beliefs.
