Hitchhiking in Tasmania

Between hiking in the cold at 7am for 2hours and hitchhiking for a 15mins ride - the choice was clear. We woke up at the break of dawn for a quick breakfast and coffee. The car park was empty and only had a couple of campervans parked overnight here. With our bodies still stiff and cold, we started on our hike to Cradle Mountain only to realise that the journey was longer than expected. We made a quick decision to hitch a ride in to the Overland Track of Cradle Mountain instead of continue walking in the cold. Got rejected a few times but didn't give up. We finally succeeded with a kind hearted couple from Queensland who were also intending to hike to the summit of Cradle Mountain. #createwithtrip #naturewonders #tasmania #australia
