Consuegra, a lesser-known photography spot in Spain, is the location of Don Quixote's battle with the windmills

Consuegra is a windmill town about an hour and a half's drive south of Madrid, and can be conveniently visited on a trip from Toledo. It is also the setting for the story of Don Quixote's battle with the windmills in Cervantes' novel. 💟 White windmills: At the top of the hill next to the town, there is a row of white windmills, and the scenery here is one of my favorite photography spots during my travels in Spain. The white windmills, the orange-red rooftops of the town, plus the winding mountain roads and the breeze at the top of the hill, make for excellent photo effects. 💟 Photography spots: - Drive to the end of the mountain top, go up the blue and white Greek-style steps, the first windmill is very suitable for shooting from below, you can sit on the surrounding wall in front of the windmill, and capture the endless fields behind. - Walk back to the bar windmill, and from the castle ruins, you can photograph the entire road, which is very artistic. - On the way down the mountain, you will pass the lowest windmill, which is a small shop, and the slope on the windmill allows you to capture a panoramic view of the windmill and the town. 💟 Friends who are on a road trip should not miss this hidden gem. There are no tour groups at the top of the mountain, and most visitors are self-driving. Each windmill has a different use, some can be visited, some have been turned into bars, and there is live music performance nearby. 💟 In the evening, many people gather here to enjoy the sunset over the endless La Mancha fields, have a drink, and enjoy a special leisurely time. In Consuegra, Don Quixote once challenged the windmills here. Although people laughed at his knightly dreams, not everyone can find a Sancho Panza like he did.
