Dapeng Mountain Xianfo Valley

There's a winding mountain road that leads directly from the foot of the mountain to the entrance of the scenic spot. The scenery along the mountain road is also very beautiful, and many cars park directly on the roadside. There are viewing platforms on the roadside where you can overlook the city and Jiulong Lake. The name "Xianfo Valley" comes from two aspects. On the one hand, in the early morning or when it rains, the valley is shrouded in mist, making it look like a fairyland. On the other hand, there are relics related to Buddhism in the valley, such as Foji Temple and Foji Cave. Legend has it that in the first year of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty (742 AD), a wandering monk named Dahui discovered the long-abandoned Foji Cave, which contained a footprint of Guanyin Buddha. He believed it to be a sign of Buddha and built Foji Temple. The traces of Buddha appeared here, so it was called "Fogu" (Buddha Valley). The combination of "Xian" (fairy) and "Fo" (Buddha) created the name "Xianfo Valley." [Must-See Spots] 1. Foji Temple: It seems to have been rebuilt on the original site, so it doesn't look very old. 2. Xu Fu Cultural Park: This park requires a second ticket check. There are some exhibition halls that tell the story of Xu Fu's eastward voyage. 3. Cliff Stone Carvings: There are cliff stone carvings on the mountain, which are truly ancient relics. They are the earliest stone carvings about Xu Fu's eastward voyage. Don't miss them!
