Cheongnamdae Was Kinda Fancy, Kinda Chill

#summervacay Checked out Cheongnamdae and ngl, it was way cooler than I expected. It used to be a secret retreat for Korean presidents, but now it’s open to the public, and yeah, it’s got that classy, “important stuff happened here” vibe, but also super peaceful and walkable. The grounds are huge, with lots of open space, perfectly trimmed trees, and scenic walking paths that wrap around Daecheong Lake. I just wandered with no real plan, and there was always something pretty or interesting to look at. Even the buildings have that low-key luxury feel without being over the top. There are some nice little lookout points too, where you can just chill and stare at the water. Great spot to bring a snack or just take a quiet moment. It’s not wild or adventurous, but it’s definitely a unique spot if you’re into peaceful places with a bit of history baked in. Super relaxing, super clean, and honestly just a really nice day out. Would recommend for a slow day trip.
