#Gulf of Thailand This rainy season, the weather in Chumphon is like summer. A family holiday with kids to the sea...Hat Sai Ri, Hat Sai Ri Subdistrict, Mueang Chumphon District is the destination. Go up to pay respect to His Royal Highness Prince (Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak) and see the view of Hat Sai Ri next door as far as the eye can see. Then come down and take the kids to climb the HTMS Chumphon, which is a real ship that has been decommissioned and is parked in the middle of the field near the Krom Luang shrine. The kids had a lot of fun and loved it. In the hot sun, sit and enjoy the view on the swings and benches along Hat Sai Ri. The wind is cool. There are people selling snacks...you can support them. It's so delicious. In the late afternoon, we went down to the sea and watched the kids play in the sand. My friends and I got some cold drinks from the shops and restaurants along the beach to sip. It was so refreshing. If you come to the South, don't miss it. Stop by Chumphon, stay overnight, and then come to Hat Sai Ri, the uncrowded Gulf of Thailand. There is food, a viewpoint at Khao Matree, and a Krom Luang monument. It's all here, both for the spiritual and the chill. See you there...
