Pingliang Longquan Temple is located on the hillside of Fengshan Mountain, north of Chongxin County, Pingliang City. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a provincial scenic spot, and a provincial geological park. - Historical origin: Founded in the Yuan Dynasty, flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. - Scenic area overview: - Scale: Total area of 5.97 square kilometers, sightseeing area of 4.7 square kilometers. - Landscape distribution: The scenic area is divided into four scenic areas: Ruigu, Xitai, Dongtai, and Ruichuan. There are scenic spots such as Lotus Terrace Dawn, Waterfall Pearl Listening to Rain, Highland Autumn Wind, Pool Pond Rain, Double Bridge Moonwalk, Ancient Cypress Dragon Coiling, Lingnu Fish Transformation, Ruigu Smoke and Clouds. - Featured landscapes: - Strange cypress and flying dragon: On the rock wall, there is an ancient cypress shaped like a dragon, with scales and claws. It has been winding on the cliff for more than a thousand years, which is a miracle. In the mountain stream, a sculpture of a flying dragon playing in the water and spitting mist forms a rainbow in the sun, which is magnificent. The dragon and the spring are in harmony, the mountain and the water are reflected, hence the name "Longquan Temple". - Spring water: Here, the trees are shaded from the sun, and the rocks are overflowing with water. The water drips into a spring, and it flows with a gurgling sound. Longquan Temple is famous for its water. The water is rich in 42 trace elements, including strontium and silicic acid. It is pure natural mineral water. There are Nongsong Spring and Guanzhu Spring in the scenic area. In particular, Guanzhu Spring is "a rock about to fall", with green grass in the spring, fish swimming freely, and water flowing from the rock surface like silk into the spring. The pavilion is reflected in the water, and the stone bridge bends over it, adding a touch of Jiangnan garden charm. - Cultural relics: There are "Gongliu's hometown" and Gongliu Temple on the east and west platforms, respectively, as well as the Qijia Culture遗址 dating back 5,000 years. The middle platform of the temple houses three religions: Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
