October Secret Paradise! This Hiking Heaven Near Chongqing Only Comes Once a Year!

They say "a single leaf heralds autumn." From late October to mid-November is the most enchanting time of fall, with leaves as red as fiery clouds, clear skies, and an air filled with the scent of freedom. By mid-October, we couldn't wait any longer and headed to Qiluping in Fuling. That day, the weather shifted from overcast to partly cloudy, like a natural filter set by Mother Nature herself. The temperature was just right—not too cold or hot—I wore a softshell jacket over a short-sleeve shirt, feeling perfectly comfortable as if autumn was applauding me. Starting from downtown Chongqing, it’s a smooth 2.5-hour drive straight to Huaguoshan Farm in Qiluping. The farm’s parking lot charges only 10 yuan all day, offering great value. From here begins the clockwise loop trail, as if opening the door to an autumn adventure. The hiking route at Qiluping is truly a blessing for beginners! We took the 11 km loop, with barely any uphill climbs, and the path was as easy as a stroll. Highly recommend the "Two Steps" app; follow the route with continuous voice prompts and see others’ shared markers. It’s like having a personal guide, ensuring you won’t get lost and feel completely safe. Along the way, we wandered through an autumn painting—red leaves, blue sky, white clouds—so beautiful it was intoxicating. In the end, we completed the loop smoothly. Though a bit tired, our faces were full of satisfied smiles, as if we had conquered the entire autumn. With a place like Qiluping, why wouldn’t you come?
