These authentic noodles set the tone for your day. 2. **Midday Snack: Street Vendors** As you climb, you’ll find street carts selling “Ma Hua” (fried dough twists), grilled squid skewers, and fresh fruit. They make perfect pit stops, and each vendor is eager to share their story or recommend the best local spice mix. 3. **Coffee Break: Hidden Cafés** Nowadays, several quirky cafes have opened inside restored houses. These spots offer great views of the stairways below, letting you take a breather while sipping local "white coffee" or pickled plum drinks. 4. **Late Lunch/Dinner: Traditional Restaurants** For a deeper taste of Chongqing, try a riverside eatery nearby. Must-order dishes: - “Suanfen” (sour and spicy glass noodles) - Grilled fish in chili sauce - Stir-fried seasonal greens The riverside ambiance and old-world charm make for an unforgettable meal after a day of exploring. If you want to stay centrally and fully appreciate Shiba Ti’s vibe, I highly recommend the FunGee歡致江景酒店 — 洪崖洞解放碑步行街店, located at 21/F, Block C, Gaosheng Venture Center, No. 113 Binjiang Road. The hotel provides a spectacular view of the Jialing River, especially stunning at night.
