Chongqing Itinerary: No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park + FunGee Riverview Hotel Experience Chongqing is more than just hot pot and mountain city alleyways; in recent years, the city's cultural and creative scene has also been incredibly online! For this trip, I chose to stay at the FunGee Riverview Hotel near Hongyadong and visit the Erchang Cultural and Creative Park in Erling. Whether you're looking for a photo op or want to enjoy the scenery, food, drinks, and fun, this itinerary has it all. The Erchang Cultural and Creative Park's unique blend of retro industrial elements and trendy art creates a photo-worthy experience. The park's vibrant cafes, cultural and creative shops, and exhibition spaces make it an ideal choice for both hipsters and those in the trendy business world. The FunGee Riverview Hotel, with its stunning river views and smart, thoughtful amenities, offers a relaxing and comfortable stay. It's just a few minutes' walk from Jiefangbei and Hongyadong, making transportation incredibly convenient. 🗺️ Recommended Itinerary: Wandering around the Erchang Cultural and Creative Park The Erchang Cultural and Creative Park, located at No. 1 Eling Zhengjie Street, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, is open 24/7—visit at your own pace! I recommend stopping by the bookstore at the park's entrance. As you continue inside, you'll discover a wealth of distinctive old buildings and industrial-style factories, each offering photo opportunities. When you're tired, stop by Eling Coffee to immerse yourself in the slow-paced lifestyle of Chongqing's hipsters. The park is filled with small exhibitions and craft markets, especially lively on weekends. You'll also encounter some street art, which truly captures the city's trendy energy. For food, I highly recommend the Chongqing noodles at the Old Factory Noodle House, freshly prepared on site. They're spicy and delicious. Travel Tip: Factory No. 2 has a steep terrain, so be sure to wear comfortable sneakers! The shops in the park tend to be packed on weekends, so visiting on weekdays or early in the morning is recommended for the best photography. There's also a bus stop outside the main entrance, making taxis very convenient. 🏨 Accommodation Experience: FunGee Riverview Hotel The hotel is located on the 21st floor of Building C, Goldman Sachs Chuangfu Center, 113 Binjiang Road. The environment is quiet and comfortable, and the night view of the Jialing River outside the window is breathtaking, especially when the lights twinkle at night, making it one of Chongqing's top photo-taking spots. The 22nd floor offers direct access to Kuixing Tower, making it convenient for morning shopping. Jiefangbei and Hongyadong are just a few minutes' walk away, saving you time on transportation. The room cleanliness and service are both excellent. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The amenities are smart, and voice control for lighting and air conditioning is very convenient. Free popcorn, ice cream, and night porridge are also provided—it really feels pampered! The hotel also offers free laundry and drying services, and breakfast is served until 1:00 PM. I highly recommend the freshly cooked Chongqing noodles—you can enjoy a bowl of authentic food even when you're on a tight schedule. The only caveat is that some room types may lack soundproofing. If this bothers you, please bring earplugs. If you have high hygiene requirements, please contact the front desk on site. 🚃 Useful Transportation & Food Tips For transportation, the area surrounding Hongyadong/Jiefangbei hotels is a popular Chongqing landmark, within walking distance of popular eateries like Chongqing Xiaomian (small noodles) and hot and sour noodles. If you have more time, take Chongqing Metro Line 1 to Eling Station. Stepping out of the station will take you directly to the No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park, saving both time and effort. Nearby cafes offer a variety of styles, with No. 2 Factory's "Eling Coffee" being particularly popular, boasting the aroma of local Chongqing beans.
