Just touched down in Chongqing and went straight for the insane ancient art vibes at Dazu Rock Carvings — this UNESCO gem totally lives up to the hype! 😍🪨 Must-See Place: Dazu Rock Carvings Address: Baoding Mountain Stone Carving Scenic Area, Baoding Town, Dazu District, Chongqing Opening hours: 9:00–18:00 (Last ticket and entry by 17:00) Entry fee: 110 yuan Tip: If you’re coming from downtown Chongqing, do what I did — grab a taxi for about 400 yuan roundtrip. It’s seriously worth it for the convenience (especially if you’re not feeling the local bus adventure). Best time to visit? Right now! The weather’s chill so you skip the blazing summer heat and can actually enjoy the outdoor walk without melting. Dazu Rock Carvings are packed with thousands of Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian sculptures carved over centuries. The scale and detail are wild — brush up on some history before you go, or just take a guided tour for all the legends behind each statue. Getting around: Taxis are fast, comfy, and easy in Chongqing. Always have your destination written in Chinese for drivers.
